Our grandmother has done distributions in our family yard sporadically through out her life, helping the local fisherman villages nearby. She has always done it on her own, but this was the first year that our entire family took accountability.

We were inspired by her, and wanted to help her take it to another level. We had tried distributions out of our vehicles in the previous years, but ran into some safety issues. This was the year before we were made aware of the orphanage, so our focus remained solely on the local underprivileged villages.

There was a lot of trial and error, and valuable lessons learned along the way. We were able to provide baskets of food to 40 families, snacks, toys, and a Christmas that they still talk about to this day. We couldn't tell you how many children we had at the house that year, but our hearts were full, and we were hooked.

We hadn't thought to assign anyone to take pictures, and we definitely had our hands full. But here are some memories we managed to scramble together.
